Former First Lady Rosalynn Carter Passes Away at Age 96
When I got married and moved to a Ranch north of Tucson, Arizona, I was still a broadcaster for an ABC TV affiliate Magazine show, but the rest of my life completely changed. I remember when the late First Lady Rosalynn Carter arrived at our Kai Ranch and greeted our family. She was beautiful and very kind. She wrote me a handwritten note wishing me good wishes in happiness and health. I wish I could thank her for her kindness again. Thank you First Lady Rosalynn Carter.

Living Beauty with Bobbi Brown

Posted by Lia Chang on Friday, 22 June 2007

Beauty expert Bobbi Brown and Lord & Taylor partner to benefit Dress for Success Worldwide.

During a recent appearance at the Eastchester Lord & Taylor in Scarsdale, celebrity makeup artist Bobbi Brown met with over 200 women who had come for an evening of beauty with Bobbi's team of makeup artists.

After having their makeup applied, chocolate covered strawberries, champagne and sparkling water with lime eased the wait in line to chat with Bobbi, who is also the founder and CEO of Bobbi Brown Cosmetics.

Sitting with each woman and the makeup artist who had applied her makeup, Bobbi answered beauty questions and critiqued the makeup application.

At the end of each consultation, Bobbi handpicked a travel size cosmetic sample from her Spring collection and signed a copy of her new book, Bobbi Brown Living Beauty ($29.99, Springboard), for each customer to take home.

Bobbi is an active board member of Dress for Sucess Worldwide, a nonprofit organization that promotes the economic independence of disadvantaged women by providing professional attire, a network of support and the career development tools to help women thrive in the workplace and in life. From June 7th-20th, Lord & Taylor chose to partner with Bobbi to raise awareness for Dress for Success by collecting gently used professional handbags. Over 120 purses were donated at the Eastchester Lord & Taylor in Scarsdale. For more information on Dress for Success click on the
