Hollywood
This week the season's unpredictable cold snap turned decidedly warm and sunny in Southern California.
Its finally time to lighten up and shed those rain boots and kick up your heels!
AC asked its Hollywood resident filmmaker and writer Jenny Woo to step off the production set and model her favorite picks for us.
What better way to update your wardrobe in a flash! One moment you can have the elegance of Audrey Hepburn, and the next you can take on the rocker vibe of Lady Gaga.
Here's what Jenny has to say:
WHAT'S NEW
Along with the vintage classic Campbell frames at the Tom Ford table were some very unique cateye sunglasses.
Current style seems to be focused on big and round.
Marcolin USA has been the sole manufacturer for Tom Ford sunglasses and has recently renewed a deal to continue being Tom Ford's sole manufacturer for the next 11 years.
WHAT YOU DON'T KNOW BUT SHOULD CHECK OUT
Not many people know Tod's makes sunglasses, but they do and they do them well. The style is very simple and light, and I loved the detail of the woven leather in the frame.
WHAT'S COOL
DSquared2. Their angular shapes, a matte-black frame, wood detailing: DSquared2 sunglasses seem futuristic yet wearable for today.
Thank you to William Buckley (check out his awesome purple shoes!) for inviting AsianConnections.com to preview Marcolin USA's designer eyewear collection! Brands that Marcolin manufactures include Tom Ford, DSquared2, Tod's, John Galliano, Roberto Cavalli, Swarovski, Mont Blanc, Timberland, and Kenneth Cole. You can view the collection here at http://www.marcolinusa.com/.
You can find Jenny K. Woo most days working in Hollywood or on-location, scouting for what's hot in food, travel, and style trends for AC, on Twitter at @I_Heart_Woo, and writing her blog at http://www.IHeartWoo.com
